Arts Expression
The Art Expression area serves as an inspirational area to get your creative blood flowing. Located to the southwest of the entry plaza, a hedge encloses this area and divides it into several “garden rooms” that feature storybook elements and associated activities. At the center of the garden, children and adults can walk through frames depicting famous paintings as depicted in Katie and the Sunflowers. Many exciting programs are underway to maximize the use of this area, including plans to display children’s art and inspire some creations for the garden.
- Learn the art of tying knots, Knotcraft, in the ever-changing garden planted in various knot patterns.
- Grab an easel and paint a masterpiece of your own just as in the book When Pigasso Met Mootisse.
- Attend a special class and learn to sculpt, draw or paint.
- Discover the magic of color in a garden palnted with the rainbow in mind.
- Learn to weave on the interactive display –Is Your Mama a Llama?
