Volunteer
Bookworm Gardens would not exist without the help of our amazing volunteers. From the moment the project began back in 1999, the majority of the work has been done by volunteers who share a passion for literature and gardening. Now that we are open, we continue to rely on the talents and time given by our volunteers in many different areas.

Celebrating our Volunteers
Kathy Blum
We have decided that Kathy Blum can do ANYTHING!!! She's organized, creative, outgoing, and the friendliest gal you could ever meet! Kathy is in charge of our Gift Shop, and her creativity shows. She helps to decide what to sell, designs the displays, and organizes the volunteers who work there. If you have any ideas about additional items to sell, contact Kathy!
She also is very active on our Event Committee, and helps out in the garden, doing whatever needs to be done. What's more, Kathy LIKES to clean, so helps to keep the Hansel and Gretel Learning Cottage looking its' best.
Finally, Kathy's creativity and woodworking skills are evident in the garden. She designed and built (with the help of Max Bloom) the three "wild things" in the garden, as well as some of the large picture frames in Katie and the Sunflowers, She and Max also designed and built the whimsical picnic tables under the blue arbor. Kathy has sewn the bonnets in the log cabin, and is currently sewing a little blue jacket for Peter Rabbit.
We can't thank you enough for ALL you do, Kathy!
