Bringing Books to Life for Children, One Garden At A Time

Our wonderful volunteers are in action removing trees and brush from the site.  Care is being taken to preserve as many trees as possible, including two rare American Chesnuts.

Seated in Papa Bear's new chair is Max Bloom, Sandy's dad, who designed and built the chair. Max has also created a picket fence for our farm garden.

Hard at work is Herb Schaal in Colorado, fine tuning our garden design plan. Herb has the difficult job of taking our many many wonderful ideas and fitting them into our garden space, while also making sure the walkways, bridges, signage, drainage, electicty, water, plant material, children, and deer all end up in the right places.

The Master Gardeners are helping clear the site of brush. Their expertise is much appreciated.
