Volunteer at Bookworm gardens

Volunteers

Bookworm Gardens would not exist without the help of our amazing volunteers. From the moment the project began back in 1999, the majority of the work has been done by volunteers who share a passion for literature and gardening. We value the considerable talents offered by our volunteers, and consider them to be part of our Bookworm family.

 Join us! Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Garden Maintenance Worker
  • Garden Reader
  • Special Event Assistant
  • Summer Camp Helper
  • Gift Shop Volunteer
  • Volunteer Educator
  • Handyperson
  • College Intern Program
  • Youth Ambassador / Youth Intern

Youth AMBASSADORS Program

Bookworm Gardens has a terrific opportunity for enthusiastic, energetic and responsible middle and high school students! The Youth Ambassadors Program consists of Youth Volunteers and Youth Interns who provide valuable support for the mission of Bookworm Gardens-to enrich the mind, body, and spirit of the young and the young at heart through exploration in a garden environment based on children’s literature.

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is comprised of a group of individuals who share a common passion for Bookworm Gardens. We have members with expertise in banking, law, art, horticulture, landscape construction, design, education, engineering and more. We work very hard, and are proud of what we have accomplished together.
