Support Bookworm Gardens

In the plant world, water is critical to support life. The needs of Bookworm Gardens are no different. Money is critical to support the life of the garden, including staffing, day-to-day expenses, garden maintenance, and programming. Remember that the gardens are FREE to visit. This makes our funding even MORE important!

Gifts of Cash

Write a check to Bookworm Gardens. If you itemize, your gifts of cash are fully deductible up to 50% of your adjusted gross income. Give and save at the same time!

Bequests

The federal estate tax can still take approximately 50% of one’s estate at the time of death. By considering a charitable bequest in your will, you will both benefit Bookworm Gardens and decrease estate taxes.

Gifts of Stock

Giving long-term appreciated stock provides a two-fold tax savings, avoidance of capital gains tax on the increase in value since purchase and tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock.

Bricks

Engraved bricks of two different sizes are available for sale, and will be featured in the Giving Tree Entrance Plaza. Engraved bricks make wonderful gifts, and are a special way to pay tribute to someone special, or recognize a group or organization.

Cost:

  • 4 x 8 brick | $250
  • 8 x 8 brick | $500

Book Sponsorship

Sponsoring a book garden is the most exciting and committed level of support for the garden. Sponsorships are available for each of the books included in the garden, and prices are based on installation cost, location, artistic features and maintenance costs. Sponsorship levels begin at $5000. Sponsorship recognition for each book garden will be prominent in each area. Please contact us for more information.

Fund a Foot of Fence

Please help us Fund A Foot of Fence! We have many important reasons for fencing our garden, some 2-footed and some 4-footed! Our fence measures 707’ in length, and is beautiful. Although it looks elegant, it is powder coated ornamental steel, and will help us to keep the kids in, and deer out!

Each “foot” costs $50, and will pay for one foot of fencing with a little bit left for our endowment. You will receive a small stainless steel foot, engraved according to your wishes, which will be permanently affixed to the fence. Our hope is for the entire length of the fence to be covered in feet!
