  • Duration: 1 - 2 hours

    Ages: This workshop is for any grouping of people of any age (friends, families, kids with a babysitter, adults, etc.)! An adult/guardian must be present in each group.

    Create a magical miniature world for a fairy or gnome! Let your imagination take flight in this hands-on workshop where you and your group will design and build your very own fairy garden! This intro to fairy gardens will help you learn how to choose the right plants and how to care for your fairy garden. We'll provide all the materials you need—including containers, soil, plants, and fairy crafting supplies—to create a one-of-a-kind miniature garden filled with charm and magic.

    Pricing:

    We recommend 1 fairy garden per group of up to 4 people—but groups are allowed to purchase additional fairy gardens for $30 each if you have larger groups or each person wants to make their own. We recommend children under 6 having assistance from an adult.

    • Members: $50 per group of up to 4 people

    • Non-members: $75 per group of 4 people

    • Additional fairy gardens: $30 each

    This workshop includes the price of supplies (container, soil, plants, and fairy crafting supplies). However, you are allowed to bring your own magical items to add into your garden! Cost of admission is included in your ticket for this workshop. You will be welcome to explore the Gardens before or after the workshop.

    This workshop takes place the week before Fairyfolk Festival. You are welcome to leave your fairy garden at Bookworm Gardens for the following week to compete in our fairy garden contest! If choosing this option, you would pick up your fairy garden on Tuesday, August 12.

    Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you'll learn the art of making quick pickles—crisp, tangy, and ready in roughly 24 hours! We’ll cover the basics of making pickling liquid, flavor combinations, and how to pickle a variety of vegetables using simple ingredients. You'll leave with two own custom jars and the skills to keep your fridge stocked with fresh, homemade pickles all year round. Perfect for beginners, food lovers, and anyone curious about pickles!

    Pricing:

    Pricing includes two custom jars of pickles for up to 4 people. If you would like additional jars or have more than 4 people in your group, please register for multiple groups.

    • Members: $45 per group of up to 4 people

    • Non-members: $65 per group of up to 4 people

    Cost of admission is included in your ticket for this workshop. You will be welcome to explore the Gardens before or after the workshop.

  • Duration: 30 minutes - 2 hours

    Ages: Great for independent creation or a group for any age! An adult/guardian must be present if with a child.

    Get into the fall spirit with our hands-on pumpkin decorating workshop! Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just looking for some festive fun, this event is perfect for all ages. We’ll provide pumpkins, paint, and all the creative supplies you need—just bring your imagination! No carving required, so it's safe and fun for everyone.

    Pricing:

    Pricing is per pumpkin but includes all magical and artistic supplies needed to create your masterpiece.

    • Members: $20 per pumpkin

    • Non-members: $30 per pumpkin

    Groups are welcome to explore the gardens prior to arriving for the workshop, but will not be able to explore afterwards as we will be closed.

    This workshop takes place the week before Happily Haunted. You are welcome to leave your wet pumpkin behind to be entered into our pumpkin walk for visitors to enjoy at this month long event!

    Tis the season! Learn techniques and explore natural materials that will enable you to create a 12-inch winter wreath unique to you! Join us at the Gardens for a festive holiday workshop led by Bookwork’s team. This is an outdoor workshop, so please dress accordingly. All materials will be provided. All winter wreath workshop sessions are identical. Adults 18+. Pre-registration is required.

    Pricing

    • Members: $50 per wreath

    • Non-members: $60 per wreath

    The Gardens will be otherwise closed so people will not be able to explore before or after the workshop.

  • Duration: 1 - 2 hours

    Ages: Recommended ages 6+

    If younger, we encourage that children create a wreath with an adult. An adult/guardian must be present if with a child.

    In this special kid-friendly edition of our Winter Wreath class, you will create an 8-inch wreath. We will teach you the techniques to make a wreath, but each can be customized to uniquely to your liking! This is an outdoor workshop, so please dress accordingly! All materials (naturally harvested greenery, wreath frames, natural decorative items, ribbon, and tools) will be provided.

    Pre-registration is required.

    Pricing:

    • Members: $25 per wreath

    • Non-members: $30 per wreath

    Bookworm Gardens is otherwise closed for the season; you will not be able to explore the Gardens before or after the class.
