Welcome to the livermore loop at bookworm gardens
Opening August 10, 2026
This is a half-mile loop on our expanded natural property. The loop marks the first time visitors will be welcomed onto this portion of the Gardens’ site. The Livermore Loop will be open daily from sunrise to sunset, year-round, and at no cost to visitors, including during our off season (October-April).
guidelines
Stay on paths or grass: no motorized vehicles, bicycles, e-bikes, or scooters allowed.
Explore together: due to the nature of our surroundings, children are to be supervised at all times.
Respect plants and wildlife: don’t pick it if you didn’t plant it. Observe with your eyes only, and do not feed the animals.
Carry in, carry out: help keep our Garden green and carry out what you bring in. There are no trash receptacles.
Attire: shirt and shoes are required at all times.
Restroom facilities: there are no restroom facilities on the Livermore Loop
Wisconsin Historical society’s history makers tour
The first collaborative partnership on the Livermore Loop will launch with the Wisconsin Historical Society, whose “Thinking Big Is What We Do” History Walk will be on display from August 2026 through February 2027.
The History Makers Tour is one way the Wisconsin Historical Society is continuing to serve learners and history lovers in the time leading up to the opening of the new Wisconsin History Center in early 2027. The Wisconsin Historical Society ranks as one of the largest, most active and most diversified historical societies in the nation, bringing programming and resources across the state as it fulfills its mission of connecting people to the past by collecting, preserving and sharing stories.
The Livermore Loop is generously sponsored in part by Visit Sheboygan and Wisconsin Arts Board.
