Join us for a variety of workshops (for all ages) throughout the year!

My 1st Herb Garden Workshop

Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10 am | Duration: 1-2 hours

Whether you love herbs for their smell or for use in cooking, everyone should experience the love of having an herb garden! Using inspiration from Bookworm’s A Kid’s Herb Book Garden, we will learn the basics of starting and caring for a simple herb garden for any age. In this workshop, you’ll learn about hearty herbs perfect for planters, how to maintain your pot, and learn about how and when to harvest them!

This class includes general admission (for 2) into Bookworm Gardens, a pot, herbs, soil, and tools necessary to create your planter.

Ages: This workshop is geared towards children (ages 5+), but any beginner gardener is welcome to attend. An adult/guardian must be present in each group.

Pricing:

Members: $35 per garden

Public: $45 per garden

We recommend that children under the age of 5 have an adult make the garden with them.

Fairy Garden Workshops

August 4, 5, & 7 at 9:30 am | Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours

Ages: We recommend this is for ages 6+. An adult/guardian must be present if a minor is registered.

Create a magical miniature world for a fairy or gnome! Let your imagination take flight in this hands-on workshop where you will design and build your very own personalized fairy garden! This intro to fairy gardens will help you learn how to choose the right plants and how to care for your fairy garden. We'll provide all the materials you need—including container, soil, plant, and fairy crafting supplies—to create a one-of-a-kind miniature garden filled with charm and magic.

Pricing:

This workshop includes the price of supplies (container, soil, plant, and fairy crafting supplies). However, you are allowed to bring your own magical items to add into your garden!

Members: $16 per garden

Public: $20 per garden

This workshop takes place during the week before Fairyfolk Festival and is an added educational opportunity during this festival. You must also purchase tickets into the event.


Adult Winter Wreath Workshops

Tis the season! Learn techniques and explore natural materials that will enable you to create a 14-inch winter wreath unique to you! Join us at the Gardens for an indoor festive holiday workshop led by Bookwork’s team. Adults 18+. Registration is required.

Member: $50 per wreath | Public: $60 per wreath : includes naturally harvested greenery, wreath frames, natural decorative items, ribbon, and tools PLUS one free glass of wine (21+) and complimentary hot cocoa.

The Gardens will be otherwise closed so people will not be able to explore before or after the workshop.


Family Winter Wreath Workshop

In this indoor special kid-friendly edition of our Winter Wreath workshop, you will create an 8-inch wreath. We will teach you the techniques to make a wreath, but each can be customized to uniquely to your liking! Pre-registration is required.

Date: December 12, 2026 at 9 am | Duration: 1 - 2 hours

Ages: Recommended ages 6+. If younger, we encourage that children create a wreath with an adult. All children must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.
