Campers entering 4K and up are invited to join us for engaging camp experiences at Bookworm Gardens. With the aid of specially selected children's literature, campers will interact with, explore, observe, and play with the natural environment. At our camps your child will experience the Gardens in new, exciting ways!

2026 Camp Descriptions

Entering 4K: Creative Creatures June 8-12, 9 am-12 pm

Ready, set, ROAR! Journey to where the Bookworm wild things are. We'll explore the Gardens through the eyes of our animal friends and meet critters large and small. Our mornings will be spent reading stories about curious creatures, investigating homes and habitats throughout nature, and making art inspired by animals of all types!

 Entering Kindergarten: Water Wonders  June 22 - 26, 9 am - 12 pm

Splish, splash! Does your camper love water play? This is the camp for them! Join us for a weeklong celebration of the wonders of water at Bookworm Gardens! Campers will engage in activities themed around water and will explore our aquatic garden spaces! Campers will also enjoy featured games, stories, art experiences, and exploration of other gardens.

Entering 1st + 2nd Grade: Junior Gardeners June 15 - 19, 9 am - 12 pm

Calling all plant lovers! Join us for a week of gardening and horticulture learning experiences at the Gardens geared specifically towards younger campers! Our mornings will be full of hands-on activities involving caring for the Gardens’ flora and fauna. Campers will also enjoy games, stories, art experiences, and exploration of the Gardens.

Entering 2nd-5th Grades: Storybook STEAM July 6-10, 9 am - 12 pm

Grab your thinking caps and join us for a week of STEAM exploration at Bookworm Gardens! Campers will partake in hands-on science, arts-based, and engineering activities and challenges that are inspired by the storybooks and characters featured in our Gardens. Nature-based play and games will be woven throughout the morning to complement the learning experience.

Weather

Please make sure your camper is dressed appropriately. Bookworm Garden camps are rain or shine! We encourage rain boots and waterproof jackets/ponchos on rain days. In the case of inclement or severe weather, we will either move inside or cancel.

Registration

Forms are required for each child attending camp including but not limited to healthy history forms, immunization records, emergency contact information, and other enrollment paperwork. Your registration is not complete until all paperwork has been submitted. Payment will be processed at the time of registration.

Confirmation

A confirmation email of enrollment and receipt of payment will be sent via email immediately after online registration. Another email will go out to families prior to your camper’s time at the Gardens with additional information about drop-off and what to expect at camp.

Wait List

If the camp you desire is full when registration forms are received, you can register for the wait list. Should space become available in camp, you will be contacted.

Cancellation Policy

An email cancellation is required prior to May 19 to receive a 50% refund. No refund will be given for camps cancelled after May 19. 

Photo Policy

Do not share photos or videos (online or otherwise) that identify any of our campers by name, or that show individual child faces, without prior permission from that child’s parents or guardians.

Snack

Bookworm Gardens does not provide snacks. Campers will be required to bring a small snack, but it must meet USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) standards. We do not have access to refrigerate your camper’s snack. Please mark any food or other allergies on the registration form.

Potty Training

It is required that your camper will be completely potty trained by the beginning of their camp start date and be fully bathroom independent.
